2023 Technology Impact Awards Finalists Announced for the 30th Anniversary Celebration
VANCOUVER, B.C. June 15, 2023 – BC Tech is proud to announce the finalists across 9 Technology Impact Award categories who achieved exceptional success in the past year. As BC Tech celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Technology Impact Awards, this year’s awards celebrates 30 years of innovation in BC.
“This year marks a big milestone for BC Tech, as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary alongside the companies who have made it their mission to make BC the best place to grow and scale a tech company.” shared Jill Tipping, CEO of BC Tech, “It is exciting to see the impact that technology is having across industries and on the future of BC’s economy.”
A notable moment during the event, was the announcement of 5 finalists for the Excellence in Industry Innovation award. “We are thrilled to support this award, which recognizes the impact technology innovation can have across industries,” shared Jenna Nowson, Office Managing Director for Accenture Vancouver, “The finalists for this award showcase how technology can have a positive impact on company performance and competitiveness.”
The announcement was hosted in downtown Vancouver at The Den at Bentall Centre with a live online audience. “We were thrilled to host the announcement and recognize that this is a milestone year for the association,” shared David Haugen, Senior Director of Leasing at Hudson Pacific Properties, “It is amazing to see the innovation and accomplishments that have been achieved by BC’s tech sector over the past 30 years and this year’s finalists are a part of that legacy.”
The Company of the Year Anchor category also was a highlight, with four impressive local anchors honoured as finalists. “It is a testament to the strength of BC’s tech sector that we have home-grown anchors of this calibre to celebrate,” shared Troy Lehman, Partner at Blakes, “We are thrilled to partner with BC Tech to present this award category and are proud to support local tech companies of all sizes on their journey to become the anchor companies of tomorrow.”
Winners in each category will be announced at the TIAs gala to be held on Sept 29th, 2023, at Parq Vancouver. Tickets can be purchased online here.
